Drawn entirely with numbers and equations. This is an illustration of the brain thinking about itself, focusing on activity in the Default Mode Network, using data relating to metabolic activity. Scroll down for the full description.
This is the original "Mirror Mirror", drawn entirely with numbers and equations by hand. Measuring 32"x40" (With the frame is is 35"x44") , the illustration is pen and color pencil on archival board with watercolor. The original comes with a certificate of authenticity and a magnifying glass, as well as a description of the numbers used to create it. Sienna painted phosphorescent paint in the Default Mode Network, so that you can see this area of the brain light up under black light or in the dark. In this way, you are looking at a reflection of your own brain as you contemplate yourself.
