Throughout this challenge to draw everyday for a year, I learned how to trust myself and how to let go. This series of drawings was a commitment to the rigorous process of creativity, and a pathway to a loving acceptance of failure as part of the process. This collection is a celebration of the creative journey. Each item on this page is an original drawing created in pastel pencil, pan pastel or occasionally color pencil. Each is signed by me and “dated” with the day in the challenge I completed it.

Lucidum- Original
Numberism etching on scratchboard with ink wash and embellished with phosphorescent and fluorescent paint to glow.
Etched with chemistry and physics responsible for the wolf's night vision and eye shine via the tapetum lucidum, which is a reflective layer at the back of the eye behind the retina.
The etching is 11" x 14". The frame is 20" x 24"
The original comes with a full description, a magnifying glass and a certificate of authenticity. It also comes with a framed print of one or both of the last two images you see here, which are microscope photographs of a tapetum lucidum in a sheep and cow eyeball, taken by Sienna.
