Throughout this challenge to draw everyday for a year, I learned how to trust myself and how to let go. This series of drawings was a commitment to the rigorous process of creativity, and a pathway to a loving acceptance of failure as part of the process. This collection is a celebration of the creative journey. Each item on this page is an original drawing created in pastel pencil, pan pastel or occasionally color pencil. Each is signed by me and “dated” with the day in the challenge I completed it.

Oxytocin- Original Numberism Etching
This is the original Numberism etching of "Oxytocin", hand etched on glass, and is framed and ready to hang. It is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a magnifying glass. 16"x20"
"Oxytocin" is etched entirely with equations relating to the sense of pleasure and empathy experienced in this moment. It is primarily composed of the chemical formula for Oxytocin, which is released in the brain during orgasm, long duration touch, childbirth and breast feeding. When it is released, you experience an increased sense of pleasure, trust and empathy.
There is also the chromosome responsible for the neural transmitter for Oxytocin, the year Oxytocin was first synthesized, as well as a few hidden words.
This is meant to be hung with a rotating spotlight so the shadow is constantly in motion. There are also LEDs installed around the outside to fill it with alternating light.
