Gallery

Revealing the beauty of the natural world through intricate scientific numberism illustrations.

Every mark is a number or an equation, written by hand using pen or fine blades. The numbers and equations create a scientific portrait of the subject by quantifying underlying form and function. These drawings take 100 hours to draw and 3 months of research. Fine art reproductions of most of her work is available on this website, at her art studio and at art fairs.

Photos of Sienna hand engraving the “Lonely Whale” on copper plate. This was composed by writing the pitch and rhythm of his song repeatedly. Original sold.

Scratchboard numberism illustrations of the body in motion, drawn with scientific data describing physiological function. Newer work is informed by 60 hours of dissection under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Hancock at Portland State University.
