Every Third Friday, you are invited into my workspace in the Cathedral Park Place building in St John's where you can see projects in progress, watch live demos of screenprinting, drawing, canvas prep, and enjoy a glass of wine or tea with us nerds. I am one of several studios open for this event, so you are encouraged to jump around the buliding to see what creative events are happening.
Bring me your own clean shirt, hoodie, tank top, skirt (?) and I will screen print one of my designs on it right in front of you! $20. Cotton or poly cotton blend.
These are the designs that are up for the show:
We are at 6635 N Baltimore ave #264. The Main entrance is the garage! Come on in and go in the first double doors on your left which will bring you into the gallery where you will find maps like these to direct you around the building.
Bring me all your puppies

I am thrilled to be a part of "Mad Pursuit: Exploring Science through the Lens of Art" , curated by Sara McCormick at the Ford Gallery. This is a group art show featuring five NW artists who create work inspired by different scientific fields. Opening night is this Saturday from 6-9pm.
The search for understanding is not finite. It is ever changing.
As science has become more accessible and present in our lives, artists have found a rich universe of ideas and imagery to explore. The development of new and greater technology has provided both scientists and artists with the tools to delve deeper into the nature of our own universe, sometimes even outside the realm of human vision. We are bombarded with news of scientific discoveries, it seems, almost daily. This flood of information can be both exciting and daunting. As a layperson, and from a broader cultural perspective, how do we process all this new information?
These Portland-based painters and sculptures draw their inspiration from science, including the study of anatomy, neuroscience, quantum physics, astronomy and biomimicry of nature. Through their own research and artistic insight, each lends a unique perspective to their chosen subject. Transforming theoretical concepts and scientific data into works that are both intriguing and informative.
Not only does science provide a wealth of inspiration for artists, the two practices have more in common than most people realize; both are about process, discovery, and a quest for understanding. By bridging the disciplines of art and science, we hope to create an exhibit that is beautiful as well as enlightening. We hope to show our viewers the power of wonder and the surprising connections between visual art and science.
PLUS live performance by Shannon Entropy!
Geek Craft Expo
at the Double Tree
June 10th & 11th
Booth C01 / C02
Saturday 11am - 6pm
Sunday 11am - 5pm
This is a fun local geeky comic con. It's small enough to fit in the Double Tree, but packed with local nerdy artisans, so you get your fill of nerdy goods without the exhaustion of a big con. We were really pleased with their first year event in 2016 and are excited to be back. It's a well curated event (I know this as I went home with a solid haul of nerdy art and goodies last year), and the folks who run it are sweet human beings based on our interactions. For us, a good con really boils down to the art, artists and humans who work it, so this was a really enjoyable event for us and for our fans. If you're local, you really should go and check it out. Also, it's free.
In addition to the usual canvas and paper prints you see at Portland Saturday Market, I will also have my con-only 8x10 paper prints for $20 or 3 for $50. I will also have shirts, though I'm running low. Best to get your art early.
In collaboration with NW Noggin!

What do the brain waves of a depressed person look like? How can they be changed?
Brittany Alperin, a behavioral neuroscience graduate student at OHSU, and Sienna Morris, an artist and science enthusiast, will talk about how mindfulness meditation and self-care can not only decrease depressive symptoms, but can also produce measurable change in your brain! Join us for a discussion of Sienna’s journey through mindfulness practice, take a look at how her depressive symptoms and brain waves changed over time, and see the art that this experience inspired.
March 3rd 6pm - 12 am
Free and open to the public

The work features two collections; a series focusing on processing her divorce via therapeutic works, and a short implied erotica set of oil paintings.
Live music, wine, beer and cider available at the event.
Below are a few examples of pieces from this show.

Yes, that's right! I am exhibiting at New York City Comic Con in 2016!!!!!!!! That's crazy, but true! I'm excited too.
Find me at the 4 day epic comic con of epicness with an assortment of nerdy/geeky/arty goodies. Closer to the con, I will start accepting preorders for the con, so that you can reserve art to pick up there. I will be posting a coupon code you can use which will remove shipping and handling and put you on the "NYCCC Pick up" list. . At bigger cons, I tend to run out of certain pieces rather quickly, so if there's something you know you want, I highly recommend preordering. If you want something limited edition or original, definitely preorder, as there's a chance I might not bring it with me otherwise.

Solve live puzzles to receive clues to Sienna's Numberism puzzle drawing of Sherlock Holmes, "The Game is Afoot"
Labyrinth Escape Games is proud to feature its first Artist in Residence, Sienna Morris; a local Portland artist who creates scientific artwork using numbers and equations to illustrate her subjects. This partnership culminates in a first of its kind, interactive puzzle-themed art exhibit on September 15th , 2016, featuring Sienna's puzzle drawing “The Game is Afoot”.
"A Study in Numbers"; is an interactive art show with a series of live puzzles designed by the team of master puzzle crafters at Labyrinth Escape Games. Those who can solve these puzzles will receive clues to assist them in solving Sienna's puzzle-based numberism drawing of Sherlock Holmes, “The Game is Afoot”. This illustration was drawn entirely with numbers and letters by hand, which are themselves puzzles, riddles, ciphers and codes inspired by the world of Sherlock Holmes. The work comes with a box of tools, including a wax sealed envelope, a hardback edition of ‘The Original Illustrated Sherlock Holmes’ and a magnifying glass. Players utilize Sherlockian methods to deduce the answers, with a special prize awarded to the first three players to solve the final problem.
After nearly two years since its release, “The Game is Afoot” has yet to be solved. Those who can solve the puzzles created for this exclusive event will receive up to 4 clues, giving them an advantage in being the first solver.
Hosted at Labyrinth Escape Games, 816 NW Hoyt St., in Portland’s historic Pearl district, attendees can explore Labyrinth's immersive escape rooms while playing puzzles and viewing a collection of artwork by Sienna. The last 10 fully playable editions of “The Game is Afoot” will be available for purchase at the show, as well as a collection of partially playable prints.
Labyrinth has had a desire since its inception to become involved in the Portland community by partnering with and showcasing the works of local artists and artisans. Due to the overwhelming positive response from fans and players of Labyrinth, these partnerships are finally possible. Labyrinth’s CEO, Andrew Lind, explained, “We couldn't have picked a better artist to feature, not only are her pieces mesmerizing, but she has been amazing to work with. This is another step in Labyrinth becoming more a part of the Portland community and fulfilling our mission of bringing people together through exciting experiences.”
